Jan 2024 - Present

Full-Time

Sherwin-Williams is a leading American paints and coatings company based in Cleveland, Ohio, with operations in over 120 countries. In my role as a Senior Software Engineer, I manage and lead teams within the global coatings department, focusing on providing software solutions for Mechanical and Electrical Systems that formulate, calibrate, and dispense paint in labs and stores across the country. My teams are responsible for modernizing legacy systems and integrating new customers into the One-Sherwin network initiatives. Notably, my contributions in 2025 led to an annual business increase of $6 million by incorporating an acquired company into our modernized systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procured requirements from stakeholders for critical processes and designed system architecture for the infrastructure of system applications.
  • Collaborated with the leadership team to determine delivery costs and deadlines for various processes.
  • Scoped projects and established architectural agreements in line with current Sherwin standards.
  • Led teams by conducting Program Incremental Planning every quarter to set goals and objectives using Agile Methodology and Jira Board.
  • Led the development of an intelligent search engine chatbot using Open API Models (GPT-4), integrated with real-time MongoDB data, enabling dynamic, context-aware responses.
  • Integrated AI and chatbot capabilities into legacy and modern systems, enhancing user experience.
  • Set up the infrastructure required for delivering software to System Integration used by labs and stores.
  • Actively developed software using technologies such as .NET Core Microservices, React Micro Frontends, and backend databases like Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Conducted collaboration sessions with the team for Pair-Programming and led the team towards success.
  • Worked with the architectural team to create Machine Learning Models and developed a recommendation system for lab technicians to determine color availability based on calibrations of electrical systems called Spectrophotometers.
  • Migrated entire store photometers from cable connections to wireless connections without changing the hardware systems by embedding software into user machines.
  • Migrated data from legacy Oracle databases into a NoSQL MongoDB document data structure by designing the architecture.
  • Maintained legacy systems built on React Frontends and ASP .NET Core monolith services.
  • Built Kubernetes clusters and Pods integrated into F5 for cybersecurity.
  • Successfully launched a product to European EMEAI region customers and Latin America LATAM region customers.
  • Actively participated in interviewing and hiring candidates for the department on a regular basis.
  • Implemented High Availability and Disaster Recovery for all legacy and modernized systems by deploying applications in multiple regions.
  • Implemented observability by instrumenting applications and integrating with pod logs using Grafana and Checkly monitoring.
  • Conducted enterprise knowledge and cost analysis for the projects handled.
